Cookie Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Dice Drop (“Dice Drop”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a service operated by AppFloe Ltd, uses cookies, browser local storage and similar technologies on our website at dicedrop.co.uk and in our apps. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

In short: our own storage is limited to remembering your dice, look and settings on your device. The cookies that can identify you across sites are advertising cookies set by Google, and in the EEA/UK these are only used after you consent.

What are cookies and local storage?

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. Local storage (and similar web-storage technologies) let a site save data on your device without sending it to a server. Both let a site remember information between visits. We group what we use into two kinds: essential/functional storage that makes the site work, and advertising cookies set by Google to fund the free service.

Storage we use ourselves

PurposeTypeWhat it stores
Your dice & settingsLocal storage (first-party)Your chosen dice, colours/“look”, sound and preferences, plus your recent roll history — kept on your device only, never sent to our servers.
Consent choiceCookie / local storageRemembers your response to the cookie/consent message so you are not asked on every visit.
Purchase restore (web)Set at checkoutIf you buy an unlock, our checkout uses strictly necessary cookies to complete the payment and let you restore it later.

This first-party storage is essential or functional: it is used only to run Dice Drop and remember your preferences. Clearing your browser storage, or uninstalling the app, deletes it.

Advertising cookies (website)

Dice Drop is free and is funded by advertising. Our website shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that may set and read cookies and use similar technologies on your device to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. These cookies are set by Google, not by us, and are governed by Google’s own policies.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google’s Privacy & Terms, and how Google uses cookies for advertising at Google’s advertising technologies page.

Advertising identifiers (apps)

Our mobile apps do not use browser cookies, but they show ads through Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising identifier (the Google Advertising ID on Android, or the IDFA on iOS) to serve and measure ads. On iOS you will see Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt and can decline tracking. See our Privacy Policy for more on advertising identifiers.

Consent in the EEA and UK

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we use a Google-certified consent management message to ask for your consent before non-essential advertising cookies and identifiers are used. You can grant or refuse consent, and you can change your choice at any time — on the website by clearing the site’s cookies/storage so the message shows again, and in the app through the app’s privacy or consent settings. Essential and functional storage described above does not require consent because it is needed to provide the service you asked for.

How to control or opt out

  • Personalised ads: manage or turn off ad personalisation in your Google account at Google Ad Settings.
  • Third-party vendor cookies: opt out via www.aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site storage in their settings. Blocking essential storage may stop parts of Dice Drop from working.
  • Advertising ID (apps): reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings — Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising.
